Monday’s Do: Monday is Veterans Day, a time to honor the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of the men and women who have served in our armed forces. Their commitment to protecting our freedoms, often at great personal risk, deserves our deepest gratitude and respect. Thank you to you Veterans out there!!!

The Ice Rink at Fountain Square
The UC Health Ice Rink, presented by Fifth Third Bank is an outdoor ice rink that takes over Fountain Square from November 2 through February 17.
Admission is $10 which includes rental skates, and children ages 3 and under are free with a paid adult. Rink admission includes access to the WGU Warming Tent as a place to take a break and warm up. The rink also features a full-service concessions tent with hot and cold snacks, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, plus on-site parking, and restrooms.
The rink is located in the heart of the Fountain District, which is home to dozens of bars and restaurants that allow you to turn your rink visit into an entire day or evening of fun.

Here’s your chance to visit Cincinnati Museum Center’s Tower A, the command center for the daily 216 trains that brought thousands of travelers safely in and out of Union Terminal. Note: There are approximately 35 steep steps to Tower A. No selfie sticks or tripods permitted. Tickets are required. Dates include Nov. 29 and 30 plus Dec. 20 and 21.
Sign up for an Off-Trail Exploration at Mitchell Memorial Forest next Saturday, Nov. 16, 10am-1pm. Join in for an off-trail hike through one of the most secluded portions of one of Great Parks’ largest parks. The hike is free but you must register by Nov. 14. To register, click the link above and when you get to their calendar, click on Nov. 16 and then scroll down to see this event.
Get registered for the “Explore the Digital Library” virtual class from the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Library. Their Digital Library consists of digitized, rare material, much of which is of local significance. There’s so much variety that you’re bound to find a topic that fascinates you. The class takes place on November 20, 10-11am. Free but registration is required.

Pizza Week starts on Monday!
November 11-17 is Cincinnati Pizza Week. Enjoy special $10 pizzas from 30+ of Cincinnati’s most popular pizza places!
Wondering where to go? I’m thinking of trying Fireside Pizza’s “Sensational Sweet Potato” or maybe MadTree’s “Crafted Caprese”. Little Miami Brewing has a “Dill-icious Pizza” for all you pickle lovers out there! And I might just be tempted by the Moe “Truffle” Greene pie at Goodfella’s too! So many great choices!

11/16 and 11/17: It’s time for the annual Holiday Market at Cincinnati Art Museum, 11am-5pm. Shop from local artists and artisans at this weekend market. And the Art Museum Gift Shop will be stocked with unique art-inspired gifts. Shoppers will enjoy 10% off shop purchases and complimentary gift wrap is included (some exclusions apply).
11/16: Books by the Banks returns! Head to the Main Library (downtown branch) for this regional book festival, 10am-6pm.
11/19 to 12/1: Funny Girl is coming to the Aronoff Center, presented by Broadway in Cincinnati. Tickets now on sale.
12/7: The 35th Annual Lebanon Horse Drawn Carriage Parade is happening at both 1pm and 7pm.
12/7 and 12/8: City Flea will be at Factory 52 (Norwood) for their Holiday Market, 12-4pm both days. They’ll have 50+ vendors and will have new vendors each day. Shop local at this outdoor event.
12/15 and 12/16: Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of “White Christmas” on the big screen at local theaters as part of Fathom’s Big Screen Classics. Tickets now on sale.
