Christmas Break will be here before you know it!

Whether you have a day or two off or are entertaining the kids/family for the week, we have some fun ideas for the days between Christmas and New Years!

ESSENTIALS FOR WEDNESDAY (12-11-24):

Wednesday’s Do: Head to Spooky Nook for Mega Holiday Bingo Glow, 5-9pm. Enjoy a fun night of Bingo, shopping, drinks and food. Start your evening off pouring candles with Petals and Wicks (5-7pm). Mega Bingo (with prizes) will be at the Champion Mill Conference Center, 7-9pm. Your ticket includes your candle, 5 rounds of Bingo, a Municipal Brew Works drink ticket, and more.

Churchill’s Fine Teas is offering a Tea and Health class/tasting on January 23, 5:30-7:30pm. You’ll taste five teas and learn where tea comes from, how it's made, how to brew each type to get the best flavor, and what's the difference between true tea and herbal infusions. You’ll also hear about what makes tea so good for you, why it tastes so great, and the additional health benefits you get from added fruits, herbs, and spices. Registration required.

Interested in machine embroidery? Kenton County Library is offering a Machine Embroidery 101 class and registration opens on Saturday, December 14. The actual class is on January 14, 2025, 1-3 pm at the Covington Branch. This is a group training session where you will learn how to use our machine embroiderer and a basic introduction to the Sew Art Embroidery Digitizer. 

Cincinnati Nature Center is offering a warm spot for your winter bird watching! Stay warm inside while helping collect citizen science data to submit to Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology. Get registered for their “Project Feederwatch”, happening on December and January weekends. Registration required.

The Book Bus Depot is offering a “Prepare for Jolabokaflod” experience from December 14 to December 22.

Not familiar with Jolabokaflod? It’s the Icelandic tradition of settling in and enjoying books and chocolate on Christmas Eve.

The Book Bus Depot will have chocolate for sale from local choclatier Shalini of Latour Chocolate and they will, of course, have a wonderful selection of books to choose from!
