ESSENTIALS FOR MONDAY (12-16-24):

Weather: Rain with a high of 60° | 99% chance of precipitation

Monday’s Do: The holiday classic White Christmas celebrates its 70th Anniversary this year! Watch it on the big screen at a number of local theatres.

SIGN UP:

Did you remember to register for the Winter Moonlight Stroll at Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum (registration opened yesterday)? Join Spring Grove's Horticulture Team for a full moon hike in Spring Grove. With a little luck, nature will supply the snow and a clear night. The event itself happens on January 13, 6-8pm.

Experience The Royal Ballet: The Nutcracker on the big screens at local movie theaters on December 22 and 23. Join Clara at a delightful Christmas Eve party that becomes a magical adventure once everyone else is tucked up in bed. Marvel at the brilliance of Tchaikovsky’s score, as Clara and her enchanted Nutcracker fight the Mouse King and visit the Sugar Plum Fairy (Anna Rose O’Sullivan) and The Prince (Marcelino Sambé) in the glittering Kingdom of Sweets. Peter Wright’s much-loved production, with gorgeous period designs by Julia Trevelyan Oman, keeps true to the spirit of this ballet classic, combining the thrill of the fairy tale with spectacular dancing. Tickets required.

Skate Nation: Performance and Artist Talk with Dylan Morton will be at the Contemporary Arts Center on Thursday, January 23, 7-9pm. Cincinnati native Dylan Morton has been at the forefront of elevating skating as an art form. Morton has skated around the world sharing stages with internationally-recognized artists Mariah Carey, Pink, Le Sserafim, and most recently in the Super Bowl halftime show with Usher. In this special program, Morton will offer a dynamic performance illustrating the movement language of jam and rhythm skating, followed by an artist talk and skate culture Q&A with Skate Nation. Registration recommended.
