Goodnight, Tuesday.
Looking for something festive to do this weekend?
The Holly Jolly Jamboree, happening on Saturday, will transform the heart of Over-the-Rhine into a festive celebration filled with holiday cheer, live music, and community spirit.
11 choirs have been selected to compete in the Holly Jolly Jamboree. High school choirs will perform and compete including: Dixie Heights, Hamilton, Lebanon, Loveland, Madeira, Oyler, Reading, Ryle, SCPA-Baby Grands, St. Bernard-Elmwood Place, and Taylor.
Alongside the choral competition, the Jamboree will feature a holiday street fair with seasonal vendors, local merchants, sweet treat food trucks, and live performances by the talented high school choirs, throughout the day. Santa will also be in Imagination Alley to greet kids of all ages and he even has the distinct honor of presenting the 1st , 2nd and 3rd places winners with their trophies.
The fun happens this Saturday on Vine Street in Over-the-Rhine, between 12th Street and Mercer, 11am-4pm.
And if you’re looking for something extra: The streetcar (free) stops at 12th and Vine Streets (stop #7 on map linked below). Hop on and head north for a few fun stops. Do some shopping and visit the Holiday Market at Findlay Market (8am-6pm, stop #10). Or head up to Rhinegeist for Dad Day (12-6pm, stop #11). Streetcar Map found here.

GOOD TO KNOW:
The Brickery Cafe and Play is a fun way to spend an afternoon with the kiddos!
Located in the main building at Newport on the Levee (where the movie theater and mall-like shops are), this is a locally owned and operated shop that sells LEGO, allows you to play with bricks, and….
My favorite is their rentals! You can rent a number of sets to build while you’re there. Take your favorite LEGO fan and rent a set to build at one of their tables.
Current rental prices are $4 for a small set (estimated completion time: 15-30 minutes), $7 for a medium set (estimated completion time: 30-60 minutes), $11 for a large set (estimated completion time: 60-120 minutes), and $15 for an extra large set.
In addition to the rentals and the play tables, they have new and used sets you can purchase as well as a large selection of singles to choose from. They have bins full of small figures and packages for purchase as well.
AND they have some fun specialty drinks, soft drinks, and snacks for purchase too.
Reservations may be needed for weekends and Christmas break.
