Wednesday’s Do: Broadway in Cincinnati’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” opens at the Aronoff Center and runs through December 15.

SIGN UP:

Shake off the holiday humbug as you head outdoors for the nation’s longest-running community science bird project - the Christmas Bird Count. You’ll be part of a team that counts every bird seen, so the more eyes, the better!  No experience necessary, just dress to be outdoors for an extended period. Free with your admission to the Cincinnati Nature Center but pre-registration is required. Their count happens on Sunday, December 29, 8am-noon.

Start the year off right with a “Learn and Create - Graditude Journal” class at the Reading branch of the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library, happening on February 3, 10:30am-noon. All materials will be provided for this free class. Registration required.

Get yourself signed up for the MetroParks of Butler County’s Winter Hike Series. The series kicks off with a hike at Voice of America MetroPark, January 4, 10am-noon. These guided hikes will average about 3 miles and end with a hot beverage and a bowl of soup. Vegetarian option available. $10/person/hike, children under 5 free. Preregistration required.

The UC Health Ice Rink, presented by Fifth Third Bank is an outdoor ice rink that takes over Fountain Square from November 2 through February 17. Admission is $10 which includes rental skates, and children ages 3 and under are free with a paid adult.

Holiday Junction (featuring the Duke Energy Holiday Trains) will surprise and delight the entire family - from the youngest to the oldest! Now open at Cincinnati Museum Center.
