Goodnight, Wednesday.

Can you believe November is nearly half way over! Thanksgiving will be here before you know it and December is waiting in the wings!

I just did a first round of updates for our list of things to do in December. If you’d like to take a look, the link is below.

ESSENTIALS FOR THURSDAY (11-14-24):

Weather: Showers with a high of 54° | 58% chance of precipitation

Thursday’s Do: Discovering Ansel Adams is at the Cincinnati Art Museum and the exhibition is free on Thursday nights from 5-8pm - perfect for date night or a quick stop after work. As always, general admission to the art museum and parking are free at CAM.

SIGN UP:

Here’s an interesting opportunity for fellow gardeners - Sign up for “Seed Collection and Sowing at Glenwood Gardens”, a volunteer event happening on Thursday, Nov. 21. Volunteers will collect and sow native wildflower seeds to enhance previously burned restoration areas. Registration closes on Tuesday, November 19. To register, click the link above and click on Nov. 21 on the calendar.

Cincinnati Nature Center is offering a Create-Your-Own-Tile Workshop on Saturday, Nov. 30 (multiple times offered). During this special hands-on workshop, you’ll have 45 minutes to work with ceramic artist Bonnie Mitchell to create your own keepsake tile using your design and a technique known as sgraffito. Preregistration required.

Benken Garden Center is offering a variety of holiday classes and workshops including a Holiday Wreath Workshop on Saturday, Nov. 23 at noon. Don’t delay on this one - these classes usually sell out in advance.

365Cincinnati thanks our sponsors for supporting this year’s Christmas in Cincinnati!

Mark your calendars for the return of Cincinnati Christkindlmarkt, opening Nov. 22. This magical holiday-themed Christmas festival will feature food, beverages, merchandise, holiday lights, choral, themed character visits, an ice rink, an Igloo boardwalk, and musical entertainment, with a European, yet Cincinnati Holiday theme.

Holiday Junction (featuring the Duke Energy Holiday Trains) will surprise and delight the entire family - from the youngest to the oldest! Now open at Cincinnati Museum Center.

GOOD TO KNOW:

Here’s a holiday light show that’s not like anything else you’re probably seen! What makes it so special? It’s underground!

Lights Under Louisville is an underground holiday light show at Mega Cavern. With over 900 light displays and 7 million points of light illuminating the cavern’s vast spaces, this underground adventure offers a truly unique holiday experience.

You can drive your own car through or take the Christmas Express, a 30-minute guided tour through Lights Under Louisville that takes place in an open-top vehicle.

Explore themed displays, encounter some of your favorite characters, holiday music, lasers and more!
