Tuesday’s Do: Music Live at Lunch is a free weekly concert series at Christ Church Cathedral. This week’s featured music comes to us from Wayside Winds, a woodwind quintet and chamber group. You can bring your lunch or buy one there. Happening from 12:15pm to 1pm.
SIGN UP:
Get creative with the kids (and teens) with a Cookie Design class on Tuesday, December 3, 3:30-4:30pm. Registration for the class opens on Tuesday, November 19 at 8am. This workshop takes place on at the Oakley Branch of the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Library and appears to be free - not sure on that part though as I can’t see the registration form before it opens 😉.
Grab tickets for “The Noel Express”, a Murder Mystery Dinner at Hueston Woods on Friday, December 20. Various travelers are on board a train departing London, England in 1934. It's Christmas time, and a young wealthy socialite is bringing home his new fiancée to meet his parents for the first time. One problem... he vanishes aboard the moving train - nowhere to be found! Tickets required.
The Haile Planetarium at NKU has a holiday themed show this year - Holiday Wonderland Laser Show. This family friendly event mixes up the nostalgia of classic holiday tunes meets the magic of laser technology. It happens on select Nov. and Dec. Friday nights, 8:30-9:30pm. Tickets required.
365Cincinnati thanks our sponsors for supporting this year’s Christmas in Cincinnati!
GOOD TO KNOW:
My top ten things you might not know about the Cincinnati Art Museum:
1. The Cincinnati Art Museum offers free general admission and free parking. It's an amazing spot to visit when you have visitors in town, over your break, or any time at all!
2. The Art Museum has a library that's open to the public (pictured above).
3. The library is amazing all by itself. But don't miss the patio off the one end. It provides a nice view of downtown and the surrounding area.
4. The museum has a Chihuly sculpture above the desk as you enter.
5. The museum has a Picasso!
6. The museum has so many great works of art and you're sure to find something new every single time you go. I've visited soooo many times and just found a whole section that I'd never been in!
7. They offer free tours. Tours are available at no cost on select dates and times. Reservations are not required. Tours meet in the front lobby.
8. The REC Center, a family friendly interactive space, will host “REC the Halls” from Dec. 3-29. The Art Bar will be stocked with fun and festive papers, ribbons, stickers, and everything you might need for your next holidazzling project.
9. The Art Museum has a wonderful little cafe, a perfect spot to enjoy lunch. I thought the prices were very reasonable and my lunch was GREAT.
10. You can design your own custom tour from home or create one when you arrive.
