Wednesday’s Do: The Main Branch of the library (downtown) is hosting an after hours screening of 90’s indie classic “Party Girl” (1995, rated R). A 20-something, irresponsible party girl is bailed out of jail by her librarian godmother. To repay the loan, she starts working at the library and gradually turns her life around. Library Movie Night starts at 6:30pm.
SIGN UP:
The City of Loveland is holding a Gingerbread House Contest. If you’re interested in participating as a contestant you need to complete the online registration form by Dec. 6. Prizes are up for grabs in these categories: People’s Choice (best overall), Most Creative, and Most Colorful. If you want to see all the completed houses, they’ll be on display at Loveland’s City Hall on Dec. 7, 4-8pm, as part of their Christmas Tree Lighting Festival.
Jamie’s Landscaping is hosting a Make and Take - Live Ornament Planter Class on Saturday, December 7, 10-11am.
Registration opens on Friday, November 22 for “Sew What!?”, a class for teens (ages 12-17) that would like to learn to applique and embroider a towel. This free class takes place on December 7 and is at the Loveland Branch of the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Library.
Step into Cincinnati’s beloved Christkindlmarkt (opens on Friday!), a German-American holiday experience filled with festive lights, seasonal delights, and cozy winter activities. Located at the Schmidlapp Event Lawn adjacent to the Moerlein Lager House, this free-admission event features artisanal vendors, holiday decor, live entertainment, and new attractions like the Igloo Boardwalk and Holiday Ice Rink. GOOD TO KNOW:
If you’re planning to go to the Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo this year (opens tomorrow/Thursday), here are some tips for you:
🌲 Visit during the week if you can (to avoid the potential crowds).
🌲They have lots of great food options at the Zoo but you can also take in your own food (no outside alcohol or glass containers).
🌲You can reserve an electric wheelchair for your visit.
🌲Arrive early to see the animals. The animals usually go inside around 5pm.
🌲Your admission gets you into the Zoo at any time of the day so make the most of it and go early.
🌲You can see the Animal Encounters and all that’s happening at the Zoo today here.

12/6 - 12/7: Waynesville’s Christmas in the Village
12/7: The 35th Annual Lebanon Horse Drawn Carriage Parade is happening at both 1pm and 7pm.
12/9: Crib of the Nativity, the live nativity scene that’s out in the lawn of the Krohn Conservatory, will be open and ready for visitors, 9am-9pm. Free.
12/11: Balloon Glow in Middletown
12/15 and 12/16: Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of “White Christmas” on the big screen at local theaters as part of Fathom’s Big Screen Classics. Tickets now on sale.
