Are you hoping to simplify your Christmas dinner this year? Or perhaps your celebration is a bit smaller than usual? You’re in luck because lots of our local restaurants are pulling out all the stops and are ready to help!
ESSENTIALS FOR THURSDAY (12-21-23):
Weather: Thursday’s forecast is mostly cloudy with a high of 50° | 5% chance of precipitation
Thursday’s Do: Heritage Village Museum has Train Days, 10am-2pm. Enjoy cookies and hot chocolate while watching model trains chug through village displays spread between Chester Park Train Station, Myers Schoolhouse, and Hayner House. At least 10 trains will be operating throughout the Village including a point-to-point auto reversing trolley and the train display operated by the Greater Cincinnati Garden Railway Society, who are back for the second year. A wide variety of train sizes, such as O, N, HO, G, and S, will be on display. Admission is $4 (children ages 4 and under are free).

Grab your tickets for “Christmas with C.S. Lewis starring David Payne”, now playing at the Aronoff Center (through Dec. 23).
James Billiter will be the featured artist for the American Sign Museum’s “Artist Talk” on January 25, 7-8pm. James Billiter is the creative behind Billiter Studio, whose love of signs and typography has influenced his series of Cincinnati history prints and illustrations. He will be sharing his love of design history and how lettering, type design and sign painting has inspired the ornate lettering featured in his designs. This program is both in-person and virtual. Registrants will receive a program link in a separate email the day of the talk.
Join any one of the wonderful book clubs that meet at library branches all over town! Here’s the list of Cincinnati Public Library Book Clubs happening in January. Most require registration.
Great Parks is offering a number of fun outdoor workshops and classes as part of their “Winter Breakout with Adventure Outpost” series.
All programs happen during the last week of December and do require registration. Recommended for ages 10 and up.
