Goodnight, Monday.

This news made my day!

I am a big Shake Shack fan. I first had it in NYC and just can’t get enough. It’s a burger joint. Nothing outstanding, really… but I love it!

“Shake Shack serves elevated versions of American classics using only the best ingredients. It is known for its delicious made-to-order Angus beef burgers, crispy chicken, hand-spun milkshakes, house-made lemonades, beer, wine, and more.” (source)

They’re opening their first greater Cincinnati location this month. It will be located at Liberty Center. Proposed opening date is December 7 (check before you go though!).

Cincinnati Museum Center had their grand opening for the new “cr(eat)e Culinary Studio” today.

Part science, part history, part food… this space features ovens, ranges and multiple food stations stocked with all the equipment and tools to turn recipes into experiments and microwave misfits into culinary scientists.

I watched as they made ice cream with liquid nitrogen today, learned about the history of French Toast, and took some steps to make holiday red homemade pasta (colored with beet juice).

You’ll find the cr(eat)e Culinary Studio on the entry level of the museum, off to the right when you enter the building. It’s right next to the gift shop. Be sure to go check it out on your next visit to Cincinnati Museum Center.

They will be holding kid-centric programming in this space. Watch for upcoming Summer Camp offerings.

Upcoming classes include:

  • Homeschool Cooking Club: Science by the Bite

  • Junior Chefs (for parents and children ages 7-14)

  • and coming soon - classes for Young Adults (17+)
