Wednesday’s Do: Neusole Glassworks hosts an Ornament Blow during the day on Wednesday, 10am-6pm. With the help of their professional glassblowers, you will get to blow your own ornament out of hot molten glass. Reservations required.

Double Do: Head over to Little Miami Brewing and hear Jim Effler tell his story about how he became Cincinnati’s “Beer” artist. Bockfest! Moerlein! Hudy! Brewery District Murals! Barrel House! Main Street Brewery!

Cincinnati Parks presents Winter in the Woodlands at California Woods Nature Preserve, happening on Friday and Saturday. Families and adults can follow a beautiful, luminaria-lit trail on a leisurely self-guided walk through the nighttime forest. Decorate your own home-baked holiday cookies, make crafts and enjoy lively acoustic music by local band Ceol Mhor, beside a crackling fire. Grab some tickets now if you want them - these events fill up fast!

The East Row Historic District's Annual Victorian Christmas Home Tour will offer the opportunity to tour the inside of a selection of unique homes in the East Row Historic District. The event is happening on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are required and can be purchased at the event or online before Dec. 2 at 8pm.

Here’s your chance to Visit Tower A at Union Terminal as part of a Heritage Program on December 29 and 30. Tower A, not typically open to the public, was the command center for the daily 216 trains that brought thousands of travelers safely in and out of Union Terminal. Today, the room overlooks the active intermodal yard which brings cargo containers to our region. Children 10 years of age and older are permitted with an adult. There are approximately 35 steep steps to Tower A. Tickets required.

The UC Health Ice Rink, presented by Fifth Third Bank, is an outdoor ice rink that takes over Fountain Square from November 4 through February 19. The rink is open seven days a week with varying hours and a variety of events including Skate Lessons, Soundtrack Skates, Bengals Tailgates & Watch Parties, Giveback Skates and more.

GOOD TO KNOW:

If you’re looking for a day trip (or maybe an overnight getaway), be sure to check out Holiday Lights at Buffalo Trace Distillery.

Embrace the holiday season by driving through a special route of magnificent and colorful light displays on the grounds of Buffalo Trace (Frankfort, Ky).

This event is complimentary to attend and open to the public.

The event kicks off on Thursday, November 30th and then it is open nightly, 5:30-8:30pm until Monday, December 25th. Check to be sure they’re open if you plan to go on Dec. 24 or 25 as their site says the distillery is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Frankfort, Ky is a very charming little city. Make a day of it with a visit to Buffalo Trace, find Daniel Boone’s grave, visit the BEAUTIFUL Kentucky capitol building, and much more. If you’re looking for an overnight, be sure to check out The Meeting House BnB.

12-1: Cincinnati Nature Center’s Light in the Forest opens for the season.

12-2: Downtown Dazzle is happening at Fountain Square, 6-10pm. This is a free event that includes Santa rappelling from a high rise building and a fireworks display. (Santa program starts at 7pm)

12-2: The 34th Annual Lebanon Horse Drawn Carriage Parade is happening at both 1pm and 7pm.

12-3: MadTree’s Winter Market will feature locally crafted and sourced goods to make your Christmas shopping one little bit easier!

12/5-12/17: Mrs. Doubtfire is coming to the Aronoff Center, presented by Broadway in Cincinnati.

12-8: Crib of the Nativity, the live nativity scene that’s out in the lawn of the Krohn Conservatory, will be open and ready for visitors, 9am-9pm. Free.

12/9-12/10: City Flea will be at Factory 52 (Norwood) for their Holiday Market, 12-4pm both days. They’ll have 50+ vendors and will have new vendors each day. Shop local at this outdoors event.

12-12: A Balloon Glow will be happening in Middletown starting at 7pm. Come out and watch some of Southwast Ohio's balloon pilots light up the night sky. Weather dependent.
