WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK 💗 

Taft’s Brewpourium is hosting a Beer and Wing Pairing on Tuesday, 5-8pm. With your ticket, you'll get a flight of 4 different beers, each perfectly paired with a special wing sauce (2 of each flavor!). This is a self-guided pairing. Upon entering, you'll be handed your pairing worksheet, brews and wings. Tickets required.

Join in as the Reading Historical Society presents Lane Librarian, Sammy Haven, as they discuss the Negro Baseball League. They will highlight the great players of the Negro Baseball League as well as the challenges the Negro Baseball League faced. 6:30-7:30pm at the Reading Public Library.

Uncork and have some fun with a Wine Walk on the Court Street Plaza (downtown) on Thursday, 5-8pm. Curated by Black Wine Festival this week, the Wine Walk is a relaxed tasting event that will offer (4) 3 oz. pours curated by your favorite local wine experts with live music performances. Wander to one of the many restaurants on the street for a delicious meal or to continue on with your evening. Tickets required.

Stitch Social happens on the second Thursday of the month at Fibonacci Brewing, 6-8pm. Whether you're a seasoned stitcher or a novice looking to learn, all are welcome! Feel free to bring along your own stitching project, or if you're keen to learn, they have yarn, crochet hooks, and knitting needles on hand. Hosted by experienced stitcher, Amy Gable with Yam Happy, she will be present to guide you through the basics.

Fairfield host Movies in the Park this Thursday at Village Green Park. Lightyear will show starting at 7pm.

Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum has a Student Volunteer Day coming up on July 13, 9am-noon. Contribute to meaningful horticulture projects across their 450 pristine acres. This opportunity is open to high school and college-age students, as well as members of the public, including parents. Participants will earn service hours for their contribution. Registration is required.

Cincinnati Nature Center hosts a Full Moon Walk: Honey Moon at Long Branch Farm and Trails on Friday, June 21, 9:30-11pm. Witness the night's magic transform the trails and marvel at the full moonon this guided hike. Full Moon Walks provide rare opportunities to hike Nature Center trails when they’re normally closed. These nighttime walks utilize level upland trails—they avoid hills, steps, and stream crossings for safety. While each Full Moon Walk varies, they generally stop periodically for natural history moments, special readings, or simply to admire the shadows cast by the full moon. As it’s nighttime, the pace is slower. Leaders adjust the walking speed based on their group.  Tickets required.

Sign up for Heritage Days, an event from the Anderson Park District that’s happening on Friday, June 21, 7-9pm. Learn about life in the days of the early settlers with the Grassy Run Historical Arts Committee. Visit with old-time crafters like blacksmiths, ropemakers, and woodworkers. Hear old-time music, visit with interesting characters from the past and learn about muzzleloading guns, and other tools used by the frontiersmen and women. Enjoy the summer solstice and the full moon with stories and s’mores around the campfire. (S’mores supplies will be provided.) All ages will enjoy this living history. Space is limited, register in advance.

Have Breakfast at the Krohn Conservatory on June 29, 8:30-10am. Enjoy a continental style breakfast and get a sneak peek at the butterfly showroom prior to Krohn opening for the day. Each person will also get to release a newly hatched butterfly into the showroom and learn about the life cycle of a butterfly. Tickets required.

Have an avid fisherman in the house? Great Parks of Hamilton County has a number of Fishing Tournaments happening from April to November. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a novice, their tournaments offer a rewarding experience to anglers of all ages.

Plus, enjoy the rhythm of the road with live music that’ll set the perfect backdrop for day of horsepower and fun.

Mark your calendars for The Ohio Challenge, happening July 19-20. The event includes hot air balloons, a Night Balloon Glow, a car show, a plane show, a drone show, a fireworks show, and more. They’ll have tethered balloon rides and plane rides as well. Happens at Smith Park - Middletown Regional Airport. Weather permitting and admission charged. Some activities may require tickets/reservations.

The Cincinnati Celtic Festival will be at The Banks, July 12-14. Enjoy free admission, live entertainment, food, Sunday Mass, games, and more.

Enjoy all things Greek food and culture at the 49th Annual PANEGYRI Greek Festival, June 28-30. Hours are Friday 5-11pm, Saturday 3-11pm, and Sunday 1-8pm. Admission is $3 with children 12 and under free. A portion of admission is donated to the FreeStore FoodBank and The Good Shepherd Food Pantry. Free parking and there’s a shuttle bus service to and from St. Xavier High School.

FAMILY FRIENDLY 🛝 

If you like a good Touch a Truck event, this is a great one! Sharonville’s Touch a Truck is happening on Monday, 10am-2pm at Gower Park. Vehicle attractions include emergency, construction, transportation, food trucks, helicopter take off and landing, and much more!

Great Parks’ Fairy Tale Festival is happening at Glenwood Gardens’ Highfield Discovery Garden next weekend, Saturday (9:30am-3:30pm) and Sunday (noon-4pm). Immerse yourself in a weekend filled with wonder and excitement designed especially for children. Meet beloved characters such as Robin Hood, Rapunzel, and even a real-life fairy! Let your imagination soar as you indulge in face painting and hair braiding. Then, embark on daring adventures like climbing Rapunzel’s tower or testing your skills with a bow like Robin Hood himself! As you wind through Highfield Discovery Garden, stop by vendor booths for your own fairy adornments or grab a bite to eat at a local food truck. Purchase your tickets in advance - tickets will NOT be sold “at the door”.

The City of Erlanger is hosting Depot Days at Erlanger Train Depot Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:30am - noon. This week you can enjoy Dino Dig with the Cincinnati Museum Center on Tuesday and a Foam Party on Thursday.

Taft Museum of Art will have a free Family Funday on Sunday, June 16, 10am-4pm. Celebrate the exhibition Moment in Time with art activities, food and drinks specials in the Lindner Family Café, family tours, and musical guests. 

Zak Morgan is the featured artist for Sounds of Deerfield on Friday, June 14, 10am-noon. This evet is happening at the Kingswood Park Community Pavilion.

Did you know there’s a permanent outdoor skating rink at Sawyer Point? The next session of skate happens on Saturday, 6-10pm. Skater favorite DJ Monet x BB Hutch will return for House Night.

The event happens every other Saturday and alternates between morning and evening sessions.
