FRIDAY EVENTS 📆 

The Cincinnati Opera: Share the Love Truck will be at Summit Park on Friday, 6:30-8pm. Catch the magic under the Canopy as the Opera's Share the Love Truck rolls in. For two half-hour performances, expect a mix of opera, Broadway hits, jazz, and pop tunes, all delivered right from the bed of the pickup truck. Best of all, this event is completely free, and no reservations are required. Head over to the multicolored canopy and get ready for an unforgettable evening of music and entertainment!

The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) is returning to hold a USA Pickleball Golden Ticket qualifier. The 2024 APP Vlasic Classic - Cincinnati is a six-day tournament at the Sawyer Point pickleball courts. There will be over 900 pro and amateur players from around the country participating. The action will be captured with live broadcast on ESPN+. Whether you’re a pickleball player or just love to watch the sport, plan a visit on May 7 through 12. Not only will there be lots of pickleball fanatics, but there will also be live music and food trucks!

Live music kicks off this weekend with Sawyer Point's "Amped Up May". Watch some pickleball (see above) and then enjoy the music from Vinyl Countdown, 6-9pm.

The City of Madeira is hosting a McDonald Commons Welcome Back Bash on Friday and Saturday. Friday events include the grand opening ceremony, goat yoga, and more. Some programs require registration.

SATURDAY EVENTS 📆 

Celebrate spring on the farm at Gorman Heritage Farm's May Farm Fest, Saturday, 9am-3pm. They have a full day of fun and adventure planned including: mule-drawn wagon rides, baby animal interactions, touch-a-tractor, face painting, food trucks, live music, craft vendors, and more. Tickets required.

City Flea will blanket the lawn at Washington Park with all sorts of makers and artisans. Shop from 10am - 4pm.

The Real Taco Fest will be at Smale Riverfront Park on Saturday. Taco enthusiasts will have the opportunity to try tacos from 18 different local vendors including Mazunte, El Taco Veloz, Condado, La Torta Loca, Taco Oso, J's Fish Tacos, Texas Joe, Casa Mexico and more—all in one location at Smale Riverfront Park on the Ohio River. Timed tickets are required. Sessions are 12-4pm and 5:30-9:30pm.

The O.F.F. Market kicks off their season at Summit Park on Saturday, 10am-4pm. The O.F.F. Market is a monthly marketplace that brings together small businesses, artisans, brewers, bakers, and farmers from which you can shop... amongst this beautiful park setting. Learn all about Summit Park here.

Head to the Trailside Nature Center at Burnet Woods for a Planet Walk on Saturday, 1-2pm. Space… the final frontier! Have you ever wished to visit the other planets in our solar system? Well, now’s your chance. Join in for a guided walk along Burnet Woods scale model, planet walk. Take a tour of the solar system as if it were only 1 mile in length… and stop along the way at each planet to learn fascinating facts.

There's a free Public Shred Day going on at Cincinnati Financial on Saturday, 10am-noon. Shred up to 5 boxes of paper (24" x 12" x 10") with volunteers on-site to help unload your boxes. Electronic destruction/recycling services are also available for a fee: CRT (tube) monitors and 27” or smaller Televisions are $15.00 and Televisions 28” or larger are $20.00. Services are provided by Iron Mountain.

Find a new treasure or two at the Grand Outdoor Yard Sale, Saturday, 9am-6pm. Held outside at the Grand Antique Mall, they'll have 50+ outdoor vendors plus sales inside too. Happens rain or shine.

Family Movie Night will take place at Veterans Memorial Park (Union Township) on Saturday, 9pm. The featured movie is Trolls Band Together.

Head to George Rogers Clark Park in Covington for the 53rd Annual Duveneck Art Show, Saturday, noon-5pm. Enjoy art, music, food trucks, and a great view!

Join in for “Little Acts, Big Impact: Mini Upstander Play Sessions at Union Terminal”, an event from the Holocaust and Humanity Center in partnership with the Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati. This special event series features fun, games, and songs led by talented artists from the Children’s Theatre. Each session will focus on highlighting a specific character strength, fostering a positive and engaging environment for children. Happens on Saturday, 10-10:30am.

Great Parks hosts Fishing for Beginners at the Lake Isabella Boathouse, Saturday, 1pm. Join in for a comprehensive session where they'll cover the basics of fishing, providing all the essential knowledge you’ll need. They offer a limited number of fishing rods on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring everyone can access the necessary equipment. Anglers are free to bring their own closed reel rods as well.

SUNDAY EVENTS📆 

There's an Eagle Nest Watch happening at Winton Woods, 4-6pm. This free drop-in event will allow you to (hopefully) observe the bald eagle pair as they nest for a second year at Winton Lake. Interpreters will be available to answer questions as well as give the history of the current breeding pair of eagles. Parking will be available at the disc golf course and guests can walk down to the Adventure Outpost boat launch for the best viewing opportunities. The Burlington Antique Show is happening at the Boone County Fairgrounds. Early bird tickets get you in at 7am. Otherwise, hours are 8am-3pm. Admission charged; kids 12 and under are free; free parking.

TOURS OFFERED THIS WEEKEND: 🚶‍♀️ 

Take a free Public Tour of the Cincinnati Art Museum, offered on Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm. No need to register – meet in the lobby.

Union Terminal Rotunda Tours are offered by Heritage Program docents at Cincinnati Museum Center on Fridays – Sundays. During a 45-minute tour of the 1933 train station, docents explain the architecture, construction and art of one of the finest examples of the Art Deco style. Hear details about the world-famous mosaic murals. These limited capacity public tours are first come, first served and will depend on availability. Tours are free; there is a charge to park.

Rookwood Pottery offers Behind the Scenes Tours of Rookwood on most Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets required.

Take a tour with Cincinnati Food Tours and savor some local food and culture. Times vary, but tasting tours are offered weekly at Findlay Market and in other delicious neighborhoods. Information and reservations at www.cincinnatifoodtours.com.
