Goodnight, Tuesday 🌙

April is here and so are lots and lots of outdoor events. I’m so ready to get outside. How about you?

Don’t miss our list of April things to do over on the website:

ESSENTIALS FOR WEDNESDAY (4-3-24)

Weather ☂️ : Cooler weather returns. There’s a chance of afternoon showers. Expect a high of 50°. 60% chance of precipitation

Wednesday’s Do: The season’s first Workout on the Green is happening at Washington Park. They’ll have Dance Fitness Cardio & Yin Yogam Flow from 5-5:45pm and then Zumba from 6-7pm. Stick around afterwards for Blues and Brews with live music from Jimmy D. Rogers. Weather permitting.

Registration is open for a Birding Field Trip to Caesar Creek and Spring Valley, organized by Cincinnati Nature Center. Together, these areas encompass a wide range of habitats including lake, beach, marsh, wetland, forest, field, and open scrub/shrub. The trip is designed to coincide with the peak of spring migration to maximize species sightings. Participants will be able to develop and practice field skills for birding open areas and large bodies of water. Spotting scopes will be available for this purpose. In addition, you should see (and hear) lots of warblers!

GOOD TO KNOW ✔️

Ok, I am gullible. Am I the only one who fell for the “rename Warped Wing” business on April Fool’s Day? Turns out it was all a joke! They did have over 1000 new name entries though so if you’re looking to name a new brewery be sure to hit them up!

COMING SOON 📆

Broadway in Cincinnati’s popular Six The Musical is coming up. It will be at the Aronoff Center from April 23 thru May 5. Tickets required. By the way… if you do buy tickets for any of the shows at the Aronoff, always buy tickets directly from them (cincinnatiarts.org). All other tickets are second hand vendors.

DEALS + DISCOUNTS 😍

If you’re willing to download their app, Dairy Queen has a sweet deal for you. DQ is offering fans a Buy-One-Get-One (BOGO) deal available only in the DQ Mobile App. From April 1 through April 14, fans can buy one of any size Blizzard® Treat and get one of equal or lesser value.
BOGO deal mentioned here.

FAMILY FRIENDLY 🛝

A few tickets are left! Sign up for a free family show at Memorial Hall - The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe with Cincinnati’s Playhouse in the Park Touring Company, happening April 13 at 2pm. Tickets are free but you do need to reserve your tickets so don’t delay!

Great Parks has an Eagle Nest Watch event this Sunday morning (7-9am). This event is at the Adventure Outpost / Winton Woods. We went last Sunday and got to see an eagle fly across the lake and hang out in its nest. I'd think a morning event might get to see even more action. It’s a drop in event and you can go anytime in that two hour window. They had a scope set up, pointed at the nest, allowing one to see the nest up close. Parking is at the disc golf parking lot and you’ll walk in to Adventure Outpost (follow the signs). See details on the Great Parks calendar when you click on April 7.
